Not really. As long as there is a 1st person mode for said vehicle (which is pretty much the case with every game having them) then, yeah, it would work.

As far as 3PS's, ideally when you go to play one you'd remove your Rift :P

Not Halo (at least the one I've played) or SWBF2. I was mostly talking about controlling it by walking, though. Making your tank go forwards by pushing a button makes perfect sense already.

Point taken.

It's a simple matter of relocating the camera, though.

Genius design. My only worry though is that in those game the player runs for hours  , guess there is no better way to excursive than this , well well in a few years it will be gamers who are the most muscular even though all they do is stare at the screen all day long :) .

This is relevant and awesome. It's basically a pair of things that you hold that let the Rift know where your hands are so you actually see your in-game character waving its arms around when and where you do. Want to open a door? Reach out and turn the knob. This is gonna be really awesome if they get a game that does it well.

So we have ways to make games know where your feet, head and arms are?
Oh, the possibilities. I see no end of them.

If anyone has a couple of million pounds and no financial sense, I have and idea.
using a cage of magnets, motion tracking technology, a suit full of tiny spikes and the most powerful computer from the year 2015, I intend to make a games console indistinguishable from real life. I shall call it "the matrix".
what could possibly go wrong...

Technically everything needed would be full understanding of the brain (Almost check), a way to connect the brain directly to a computer, (See #1) and a computer powerful enough for the enormous world and the high-res^3 graphics. (I believe there are ones, but those are for "really important" science stuff.)

Yea full understanding of the brain is so so so unchecked, we really know almost nothing about our own brains.

I think we can get it in about 100 more cycles which is only.... 180 months or 10 and a half years

I wasn't talking about messing around in peoples brains. It's actually similar to the thing that started this post, just you float in a cage of magnets so we can simulate you falling over. even if we had a way with interfacing with the brain: I wouldn't use it if it was intrusive. I should have made it clearer that it's basically the same thing.
That matrix thing was just a joke.

We, actually, can interpret electrical signals given by the brain with some fancy equipment. In fact, that was shown on this forum somewhere, controlling a helicopter with your mind.

So it could work.
