That thing has a nice side profile, but try giving it a longer midsection and rear wing tips. Also try rounding the rear wings.

Honestly, from my perspective it looks like something I wouldn't want to land on rough terrain...

The dropship is designed for relatively flat terrain, gliding over it and letting troops jump out (reducing the time for each transport since it doesn't have to land and take off again).
I'll design one for more mountainous landscapes.

Ah, jump-out tactics, I see.
Honestly, I do not like that principle that much, it won't work if you can't get low enough for your troops to jump out savely, at which point you could just as well land straight away.
Unless you are using ropes, and I don't think winches sound like a good option for a craft designed to enter atmosphere.

How so? Winches can easily be embedded into the hull of the craft, and would would well IMO on VTOL craft whose exits have an overhang (where the winch could be placed for easy access). Like on the Skyranger during EXALT missions. Plus if it's strong enough you can haul things that may not be able to be normally fit.

1) The Skyranger does that on some maps other than EXALT missions too, like when an UFO crashes in a skyscraper.
2) Yeah, you're propably right...

Jumping out is faster than landing since it can take quite a while if you're using a non-VTOL aircraft.

Now THAT is something I'd like to take on a large-scale invasion.

I never thought I'd say this about a bulky dropship (or whatever I suck at spaceship classes) but that is the most beautiful minecraft spaceship I have ever seen.

Clearly you didn't see Hyperlites great Smexy ship of 2012!

But that aside, I quite like the bulky design, you make it look good. I would suggest adding more detail to the underside; it is easy to forget it.
