NEW SHIP LOL, this took me literally half an hour:

not the Archetype, but I might use this instead of the Extinctor as the cruisers carried on the Archetype:

Looks really cool :) But you might want to make the front wing/canards a bit thicker; at the moment they seem a little insubstantial :)

He used binvox. Think of it as a cheat code, except not.

Basically people who use it can make an exterior shell in a matter of minutes where doing it using Worldedit or MCEdit would take days.

Well, your work's improving. I think using Binvox is cheating and unoriginal though. It took me 25 hours to build I.C.E.S.S., but this would cut that to around 10 minutes. Completely unfair.

Desecrator class cruiser looks good enough. Kind of like a filler ship; one that you put on the edge of the photo that the viewers note, but don't really care about because they're focusing on the big-n-sexy ship in the center! (^-^)/

Problem is binvox can make a hull, but the detail sucks, making something as detailed as the I.C.E.S.S. would still take hours, as you'd have to stick all the details on, though I do plan on using it for templates, which I can then copy by hand.

But then again I am the model guy, this should be my speciality, though compared to my hand built stuff I don't really like these ones, though it can save me some time for certain parts of the Archetype, namely the Shiva cannon.

I think you're forgetting that in order to binvox you need a 3d model in the first place. Learning to do that and actually making a decent one is a lengthy process, but the good news is you're going to have a lot more job opportunities by figuring out how to model than building ships in what's now considered a kid's game.
