In role and basic tactics, a battlestar is probably roughly the same as a SW Venator.

Took a big step forward this weekend and finished the habitat pylon for my starport!



If you look closely you'll see that the bottom half of the mushroom is the image I posted a month or so ago!

Very neat. Also huge.

Is it to be connected to other pylons, or is it just a standalone habitat?

It will be a large square shape with one of these at each corner. I'm hoping that the connecting arms won't look too bad at 1 km long, but they'll be at least 750m long!

You know, now that I look at the source photo, I think that they'll have to be around 500m long...rats.

Are you using a texturepack for that?

If not... Could we possibly steal it for le server?

Working some more on my shipyard. The arms ended up being 550 meters long...

That's... rather huge.

Well, it's a shipyard. It needs to be big.

I put a little more work into the connecting arms.



Now I have three things left to build:

1. The dry-docks in three different sizes.
2. An arm-long shipping and receiving section.
3. A fleshed out warehouse section in the middle.

So I figure I'm about one third done...

Huh.

Those shadows on the lower part of the connector, they confuse me, where did they come from?

I made the frame for the the dry dock. Now I need to flesh it out a bit.
