Iron Valley Shipyards

Post by Drewmanr0435 » Tue Jun 11, 2013 11:43 pm

Well, I'm finally getting back into building ships.

First off with we have the ADR-628 Aerospace Fighter
Spoiler:
The ADR-628 is a fighter made for operations in the upper atmosphere of a planet, and surrounding space. The fighter sports 2 50mm railgun-type primary coaxial guns mounted within the fuselage. This is my first build in several months(possibly 6 moths to a year) so please leave comments.

Same basic design, a few cockpit modifications, and a new paint job, with some modification to armor thickness in certain areas

I might look into it, and thanks for saying the fighter isn't stupidly sized, I was mildly worried about the size(cause size matters xD ). Any recommendations of what i can do better with my future builds?

It kinda hard to tell since you built something so small and hard to detail, when you build a frigate or corvette ill know what to tell you. As for current advice, stear away from function and go purely for asteics.

Your pictures are so scared of my infamous criticism, they refuse to show their faces to me.

Pretty standard ship, I don't really like how plain it is.

Try making a ship that size less plain without mods, VoxelGuy.

Also take not that it doesn't look like it could fit a player inside it. Mine can. :D

Now that I can see the pictures, I can tell you that I agree with Blockman. The ship isn't very interesting. It's a generic arrowhead shape, with nothing original about it whatsoever.

so i think my next project will be the ADR-890 "Big Board" Class battle fortress. Here is the inspiration picture

Points for anyone who gets the reference :D

Also made a -B variant with more colors, and a bit of differentiation with the types of blocks used, and where some of the halfslabs are placed.
