Have fun with a (ascale) model of this! https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/imag ... -peA8xqNIw WITH the cracks and stuff in it. try making it a large enough interior to house the weapon firing console and also... a big enough hole for a fighter to fly into the middle for.

I am not even trying to get a space whale.
Those are extinct, and I highly doubt you have a time machine that you can fit a space whale into.

I already tried building one of those. Extremely difficult, as the entire thing is designed to move and transform.
