Mackeroth, good work.
Now build the section of the hull that connects to the guns and use the mirroring function of MCedit to make it symmetrical!
(That´s the kind of stuff MCedit should be used for)

Well, my presence on the forum has been light of late. This is mostly due to the whole PMC contest shenanigan a while ago, which resulted in me going off Minecraft. However, I'm back, with cooler builds then ever!
It's not a spaceship (nothing I build will ever be able to top the ICESS, so why try?), but it is my hard work none the less.

You tried to achieve too high level of detail on a too small structure, as a result it looks borken into bits and floating blocks. There is no need to go so extensive with half blocks, just pick a generally good shape.

Yes, this is very true. Half slabs are a good building material, but if you add too much of one block type the ship doesn't look as good.

Well, it has come to my attention that most of you consider my ships to be works of art rather than war-capable vessels. With that in mind, I am building a seriously brutal new dreadnought as a companion and tug-boat to the I.C.E.S.S.
Here's some pictures of the engine (there'll be 4 engines, plus a massive hyperdrive engine):

It'll probably be around 1 km in diameter (it has some sticky-out bits that make it about as wide as it is long), and will be more than 2.5 km long with the I.C.E.S.S. in tow. And it'll pack some serious firepower, design, power, and greebles.
