Thats a pretty bad derp, but it looked really similar to instincts fighter.

No, I believe the reason he was disqualified was because he technically admitted to using a pre-existing schematic in his build by saying he had permission to use it. I assume you all already know the rules of the competition.

I know, but he cheated no more than I did since he had permission to use instincts fighter. Though I made my entry about2 days before the contest announcement. Had I not derped and accused him of stealing, he never would have admitted to charting, and wouldn't be disqualified

Well you can't use someone else's build to present as yours, even with permission. Submitting it to the competition under his name is already a claim it is his even if he's ready to admit otherwise.

He broke contest rules by not only using a schematic from the past, but using someone else's, whether you have permission or not does not matter.
I avoid this issue by heavily modifying mine.

Yeah I guess so. I just removed the pics of the exsanguinator on my ship thread so I could enter it on PMC. I was to lazy to build a new ship a couple of days after finishing that one
