Last_Jedi_Standing Industries
Quality Shipbuilding Since 48 BBY
Image

We at Last_Jedi_Standing Industries are dedicated to providing high quality, affordable ships to those who need them. We hope you will consider purchasing some of our fine products. After all, you can never have too much protection for your server.

The first vehicle: The Devaron-class dropship. This ship transports one vehicle or container to and from the surface of planets, or from ship to ship. Due to its modular design, the Devaron-class dropship is capable of transporting most payloads with dimensions of 5x3x3. Arist-class hovertanks are used as examples.
Images:
Spoiler:
Image
A trio of dropships ready to deposit their payloads.

Image
A dropship releasing an Arist-class hovertank.

Image
The cargo bay. Note the magnetic clamps, ready to release the tank.

Image
The access hatch leads to the cockpit. (Where were you expecting it to go? Wonderland?)

Image
The ship's pilots merely pull a lever to sent the tank on it's way.

Image
Inside the cockpit, a chest holds emergency supplies and equipment. A Devaron-class dropship requires 2 crewmembers.
The second vehicle: The Arist-class hovertank. The Arist is a small, one person vehicle. It is designed to be released onto the battlefield in huge numbers. It also (conveniently) fits into a Devaron-class dropship.
Images:
Spoiler:
Image
A group of Arist-class hovertanks.

Image
The tank's front.

Image
The tank's rear.

The third vehicle: The Alderaan-class diplomatic ship. As a diplomatic ship, the Alderaan-class carries no weapons. It is 121 blocks long, 25 blocks wide, and 25 blocks tall. The Alderaan-class is meant to serve as neutral ground when hosting diplomats and ambassadors from other factions. As such, some areas of the ship are lavishly decorated, with thick carpets and comfortable furniture. However, most of the ship is suitably spartan. It is the Navy, after all.
Images:
Spoiler:
Image
This particular ship bears the colors of the LJSIF. Customers are encouraged to customize their ships.

Image
The underside of the ship.

Image
The ship is propelled by four large engines, giving it a very respectable speed. It wouldn't do for you ambassadors to be late, after all.

Image
Visitors step through the airlock into a lavish entrance foyer, complete with potted plants.

Image
This hall leads from the foyer to most of the rest of Deck 2.

Image
The visiting dignitaries get the best cabins on the ship. There are two, one on each side of the hallway.

Image
You diplomats' cabins are only slightly smaller. They aren't the ones you're trying to impress, but they're still important people.

Image
The conference room gives you a lovely view of deep space. The fates of planets will be decided in this room, so it might as well be nice.

Image
This area is right next to the conference room. The library is mostly made up of books on interplanetary law.

Image
Image
It's not all work, though. This library has books to read for pleasure, and there is also a room with jukeboxes and a large screen for relaxation.

Image
Alderaan-class boasts an excellent dining room, much larger and nicer than most ships of it's size.

Image
There is also a much smaller mess room in the crew area. Crewmembers coming from a shift in the engine room may not be fit to eat with the ambassadors.

Image
The kitchen. Note the walk-in freezer in the back.

Image
There is plenty of storage room on-board the ship. An Alderaan-class ship requires a crew of about sixty, and interstellar voyages can be very long. This also allows the ship to be used to deliver aid and medical supplies (for example) to planets that need them. That's as good a use for a diplomatic ship as I can think of.

Image
All of Deck 3 is devoted to storage space, allowing the ship to transport 6,372 stacks of items on this deck alone. There is also storage space in the cabins, as well as rooms on Decks 1 and 2 for crew and passenger's personal effects.

Image
Deck 4, the lowest deck, holds the engine rooms and other machinery. Most on-board systems are run from the control room on this level. It it becomes necessary, the ship can also be flown from this room.

Image
The engine room. There are rumors that looking at starship engines will melt your eyes, but here at Last_Jedi_Standing Industries, we are devoted to safety. The engines are bright, but will cause no harmful effects.

Image
The main hallway on Deck 1. Many of the ship's important rooms open off this hallway, including the bridge and the crew quarters.

Image
This room controls the sensors and communication array. It is in direct contact with the navigation station on the bridge at all times.

Image
This is one of the crew bunkrooms. There is another just like it on the other side of the hall, for a total of 30 bunks.

Image
This is the captain's cabin. It is small compared to the diplomats' cabins on Deck 2, but much nicer than the crew bunks.

Image
This is the crew's recreation area. It has a jukebox and a small (very small) movie theater.

Image
This small antechamber is just outside the bridge. A guard could sit here to prevent anyone coming onto the bridge unexpectedly.

Image
And finally, we have the bridge itself. The pilots and navigators sit here to actually fly the ship. (What else would they do?)

Image
Admiral Steve greeting Aristocra Chaf'orm'bintrano of the Chiss Ascendancy. This is how the ship is meant to be used. Notice: Chiss diplomats not included.
The fourth vehicle: The Malastare-class dropship. It is really just a passenger version of the Rodia-class dropship, with which it shares many design similarities. The cockpit is a standard module, which is used on many small LJSI ships.
Images:
Spoiler:
Image
This is the Malastare-class dropship. Like the Rodia-class, it uses a SC-A1 cockpit.

Image
The rear of the dropship features multiple doors, so it can be unloaded quickly if necessary. It also has 2 rear-mounted guns. Although the Malastare-class is slightly larger than the Rodia-class, it has more engines, allowing them to travel at roughly the same speed.

Image
20 soldiers can ride in the cabin, allowing fleets of dropships to easily overwhelm even the toughest opponents.
The fifth vehicle: The Coral-class walker. This is the opposite of the Arist-class in many ways. Arist-class is fast and small, able to quickly destroy lightly armored targets and overrun the enemy with sheer numbers. Coral-class is a large, lumbering thing that uses it's huge cannon to smash slow-moving targets.
Spoiler:
Image
The side of the tank. It has 5 SLE-A2 turrets, 2 on each side and 1 on the rear.

Image
The front of the tank. Note the main cannon, which is very large for a vehicle of its size.
The sixth vehicle: The Iego-class corvette. It is a 50-block-long corvette designed for anti-starfighter operations. I don't use terms like 'expanding wall of blazing death' very often, but I feel it is justified here. The Iego-class is covered with SLE-A1 anti-starfighter turrets, which gives it enormous firepower. It's almost useless against larger ships, though. It has 2 forward-mounted cannons to keep it from being destroyed by the first enemy corvette it encounters.
Images:
Spoiler:
Image
The Iego-class corvette. Note the dozens of SLE-A1 turrets.

Image
It has exactly as much firepower mounted beneath as on top. After all, in space fighters can come from any direction they want to.

Image
The Iego-class is propelled by eight thrusters, giving it a very reasonable acceleration.

Image
One of the Iego's cannons. It's to small to harm large ships, but would do a number on a corvette the same size as Iego-class.

Image
Iego-class only has two decks. This is the hallway on Deck 1.

Image
This is the mess hall. Because of it's size, the ship lacks many of the amenities found on a ship like the Alderaan-class.

Image
One of two bunkrooms on the ship. Iego-class requires a crew of 16 beings.

Image
This is the captain's cabin. A ship this size is commanded by a lieutenant, but on-ship the commander is always called 'Captain'.

Image
The bridge is completely encased in armor plating. A large window would be a tempting target for a fighter pilot.

Image
The Iego-class has 2 fire-control rooms, crewed by 5 people each. The turrets are more than capable of tracking and destroying targets on their own, but still require some supervision.
The seventh vehicle: The Bestine-class drone carrier. It's 36,000 blocks long and carries 43,200 MK1 drones. What more can I say?
Images:
Spoiler:
Image
The front of the ship gives a hint of it's enormous size.

Image
The ship is far to big to be able to photograph. This is only a tiny fraction of it.

Image
These thrusters propel the ship. They seem small, but are more powerful than they look.

Image
The bridge.

Image
This is the communications center, directly below the bridge.

Image
The cabin at the front of the ship. Almost all systems are automated, so it requires only a very small crew.

Image
This hallway runs along the entire ship. Frequent doors prevent loss of atmosphere in case of a hull breach. Many drone bays open off the hallway.

Image
36 kilometers away, another crew mans the engine compartment.

Image
They have their own bunkroom.

Image
The ship launching an MK1 drone.
The eighth vehicle: The Omagh-class snubfighter. The space equivalent of the Arist-class, it is a very small, cheap starfighter that can be launched in large numbers. It is effective against lightly armored targets, such as enemy fighters. It is also useful as air support during ground assaults.
Spoiler:
Image
It's small enough that it only needs one picture.
The ninth vehicle: The Tynna-class shuttle. This is a small, unlovely craft, but it does its job well. Its primary purpose is ferrying passengers between to and from ships, but it is capable of FTL travel if necessary. Due to its speed and relatively thick armor, it is sometimes used to deploy commando teams. It is only lightly armed. It has a crew of 2 beings, and can carry 4 beings plus cargo.
Spoiler:
Image
The ship.

Image
It carries more chests than is standard for a ship this size, to accommodate its role as a transport.
The tenth vehicle: The Roanoke-class bomber. This is a fairly large strike craft that is capable of delivering a large quantity of whatever bombs you want to a wide variety of targets, from frigates to starbases. It is crewed by a pilot and a gunner, but the gunner is not necessary for flight. The dorsal turret is it's only defense against starfighters, though, and it's slow speed makes it easy pickings if not properly escorted.
Spoiler:
Image
The bomber. Note the dorsal turret.

Image
The bomber shown is carrying 6 medium-large bombs, but it could also be loaded with a number of missiles, or more small bombs, or a few larger ones.
Last_Jedi_Standing Industries now offers standard modules that can be purchased separately and used as the customer sees fit.

The SHE-A1 heavy turret: This turret is meant to be mounted on large spacecraft, but it works reasonably well as a ground emplacement, too. It is very effective against frigates and cruisers, but is too small to do serious damage to large ships and too slow to be an effective defense against fighters.
Spoiler:
Image
Note the twin cannons. The turret is large compared to many craft, but tiny compared to the weapons used to destroy capital ships.

Image
The SHE-A1 requires a crew of 5 to operate at maximum efficiency, but it can be run by as few as 2 if necessary.

Image
The turret features a small window, which can be used for line-of-sight aiming if the enemy uses sensor scramblers.
The SLE-A1 light turret: It is very small, and does light damage. It is designed for short-range defense against starfighters.
Spoiler:
Image
The turret.

Image
They are often elevated to provide a better field of fire.
The SLE-A2 light turret: This turret is used for very close-range attacks against light targets. It works very well against infantry.
Spoiler:
Image
The SC-A1 cockpit is used in several small LJSI craft, including the Devaron- and Malastare-class dropships.
Spoiler:
Image
The ST-9A1 is a standard thruster design. Its length varies depending on the size of the ship. It is used on several small LJSI craft, including the Devaron- and Malastare-class dropships.
Spoiler:
Image
The length can vary.

Image
Cargo pod: Relatively self-explanatory. It holds stuff. It also fits in the cargo area of a Devaron-class dropship.
Spoiler:
Image
The cargo pod.

Image
The pod being transported by a Devaron-class dropship.
MK1 drone: They can be used singly as scouts or probes, or launched in huge numbers in combat.
Spoiler:
Image
A drone being launched from a Bestine-class battleship.

Image
They are fired from launchers like this one.
The SHE-A2 heavy turret: Remember the description for the SHE-A1, in which I said it was tiny compared to anti-capital ship weapons? Yeah. Here are the big guns.
Spoiler:
Image
See those barrels? Those are MACs. Two of them. In a turret. Your mind just exploded. So did your battlecruiser.

Image
This is a bloody enormous turret. It really couldn't be mounted on a ship smaller than maybe 500 blocks long. Ah ha ha hah hah hah ha.
Ships that I would like to build in the future:
Spoiler:
Bakura-class frigate
Thyferra-class hospital ship
Coruscant-class battleship
Mandalore-class dreadnaught
Yuuzhan'tar-class long-range hunter/killer frigate
Borleias-class laboratory ship
Zonama Sekot-class agricultural ship
Fondor-class carrier
Bilbringi-class carrier
Geonosis-class frigate
Naboo-class patrol ship
N'zoth-class comms ship
Dathomir-class stealth cruiser
Umbara-class stealth scout
A note on naming conventions:
Spoiler:
There doesn't seem to be a universally accepted way to designate classes of ships, so to increase the general confusion, I've come up with a new one. All LJSI ships will use it. I just changed it because I realized I'd made everything a size too large.

This naming system applies to military ships. Non-combat vessels may be named differently.

Dropships: These are small (10-100 blocks long) craft designed to carry something (people, cargo, whatever) within the atmosphere of a planet. Shuttles, used to ferry passengers between larger ships, fall into this category. They usually do not have hyperdrives, although some shuttles do.

Gunships: These are like dropships, but instead of being primarily transports, they are combat craft. They are different from corvettes in that they are primarily atmospheric craft, and have no hyperdrive.

Corvettes: These are the smallest ships that can travel through hyperspace. They are between 10 and 100 blocks long. They tend to be fast and cheap. They are used as scouts, light carriers, transports, and disposable combat ships.

Frigates: These are larger than corvettes, being between 100 and 1,000 blocks long. They are used for any number of things. Ones between 500 and 1,000 blocks long are often referred to as assault frigates.

Cruisers: Cruisers are between 1,000 and 10,000 blocks long. They are expensive and dangerous (for the enemy). Cruisers between 5,000 and 10,000 blocks long are often referred to as battlecruisers.

Battleships: Any ship designed for combat between 10,000 and 50,000 blocks long. These are the largest ships commonly seen.

Dreadnaught: These are ships designed for combat that are over 50,000 blocks long. They are very rare and very hard to destroy.

Other designations, such as 'carrier', hospital ship', or 'diplomatic ship' relate to the intended use of the ship, and not its size.
We hope you have enjoyed your time at Last_Jedi_Standing Industries. We will continue to produce excellent vehicles, and we hope you will return soon.

New News:

Old News:
Spoiler:
December 29: I have discovered a new feature in Single Player Commands, which will allow me to finish the Thyferra-class hospital ship in about fifteen minutes. I'm not actually going to work on that right now as unfortunately I have things to do IRL, but it will be done very shortly, probably tomorrow or so. The ship is also likely to be renamed again, possibly to Drongar-class. Anyway, this realization will also make it much easier for me to work on a number of other designs that I have, so I think LJSI is ready to be productive again. Bakura-class will likely come after Drongar-class, and possibly also after a yet-unnamed ship that I'm thinking about. I am still looking for a height mod that works well with SPC, but it is not required for these ships. In other news, I have Instinct-XIV's vehicles and turrets and Blockman's tanks, so some sort of land vehicle update is also inbound when I finish the LJSI infantry skins and fire up the NPCs mod again. Happy New Year, and may carnage ensue. :D

December 6: As you may have noticed, I haven't built any new ships in months. This is partly due to Single Player Commands having had trouble updating to 1.3, and as a result removing much of its functionality. This makes shipbuilding on a large scale a much more time-consuming and thus less interesting pastime. However, one thing that I have been working on is creating skins for LJSI soldiers. I also have a few fighters that I copied off of CatsVsNinjas, and hopefully I'll get Instint-XIV's turrets soon, so I may work on something. The Thyferra-class hospital ship is now on hold indefinitely. I got as far as building the superstructure, and I still like the design, but unfortunately it has a lot of three dimensional curves that have proved to be a nightmare to build well. I want to finish that at some point, but the next ship in line is probably the Bakura-class frigate. However, I just recently got Halo, which will likely occupy me for a few more weeks, and I've been seriously eying Planetside 2 as well. I do have a design for the Bakura-class in mind, and I'll start it eventually. This isn't dead, just hibernating.

If you have problems with single player commands, I know a couple of quick version changers that could be a workaround, or just get Mc edit for the world editing bits.

I haven't changed anything unless I made a mistake while copying them from the pictures in your thread. I was planning to, which is one reason they never got posted. I don't think they're painted, either. They'll show up eventually, probably when I make a ship that's big enough that I feel like I need smaller ships to go with it. Bakura-class will probably be big enough for that. If you really just want to see them as they are now, I'll add pictures if you ask.

I have every .jar since Beta 1.6.4 saved on my computer. When I posted that castle recently, I'd downgraded back to 1.2.5 to do some work on it. Thanks for the offer though.

Do you still want any of my builds? I know I've been flaky in the last couple weeks but if you're still interested, I could take a few minutes and upload a few schematics for you (or maybe my Standard Battalion world?). I don't want to be left out of a battle! ;)
