Unfortunately it is based of the U.s.s sulaco from aliens, which looked like a greebled flying brick with a circle plonked in the middile; which I quite liked for some reason
Anyways, since everyone seems to be making new ships, here is the engine (or half of it anyway) of my new dreadnought/heavy cruiser.

Finished that ship thingy, I couldn't find a good shape for the front so it looks very weird though
It is about 760 blocks long and has 5 of the massive MAC's used on the flayer, 4 are shown in the pics, another is underneath the cockpit.

New binvox ship, obviously its not done yet; still needs colouriness. Anyways, its 500 blocks long again and that big ugly thing on the front will be a cannon. Not to sure about this one; was going for a more rugged look that I have ever done; so advice would be great

Finished the binvox ship, feedback would be great as I am still not sure about it
The big hole at the front is a cannon btw
Its even bigger than the one on my first dreadnought

Hangar bay (note the middle ring of lights is actually a 3 block tall walkway, allowing ships to be parked on 2 layers; still need to build the ships to go in it though):

I like the overall shape except for the big blunt cannon at the front. I think you should re-tool the cannon to look scarier, or just scrap the cannon and go for a more traditional bow.
I suggest emulating one of these:

Yeah looking back at most of the ships I have made, the cannons do tend to be apocalyptically awful, they just end up being holes in the front of the ship, that unpainted thing looks kinda cool actually, I think I will use that one, or a traditional bow, I think I need to fix the quad circular cannons on the front wings too, they don't really fit in.

Be careful though, and try not to get too organic with it. Otherwise you'll spoil the whole industrial feel you've established with the rest of the ship.
