Hello, my dear "tourists," as I will call you. These ship designs may not be pretty, fancy, anything like that, but they function exceptionally.

Thanks, currently building more ships to upload. Will probably set myself an upload time for each time.

Thanks on all accounts. I liked the idea of making a specific emblem or something, and ended up showing it off as a holo-sign.
Currently building more. Focusing on space before ground, as I have a naming system for my spaceships.

New users? In my forum?

It's apparently more likely than you think.

Anyway, nice ships, although you may want to increase the side visibility on the Banshee's cockpit.

Thanks for the tip. First few things I do of something are the worst, but then I learn to build better. Will update it with my new ship posts tomorrow.

I still don’t get why you ppl insist on trying to make fighters, something of that scale is bound to look average at best and in most cases downright ugly and unrecognizable. MC was not designed to work on such scale, in order to make something good I suggest you go up the scale, don't be lazy and take on bigger ships.

I insist as I like the idea of designing any kind of ship... God will dread getting to my capital class...
Back to point: We design because we can. It's our time. And just getting it out there, already finished a colonizer. Will look forward to feedback in my massive ship post tomorrow... Sometime...

Thanks! It's nice to know the forum community cares for new people... Unlike many other places.

You mentioned regulary release scedules.
Please don't, rushed stuff usually turns out horrible.
Also, I agree with the other members, stuff usually looks best above a certain size.
Fighters are almost impossible to make look good, shuttles are hard.
Corvettes are good for starters, maybe a frigate.
Oh, and also if you got here by some way from the MC-forums post, that one is horribly outdated and no longer accurately reflects our plans.
It never was meant as more than a first concept and at this point is completely pointless. The person who made it has also left, so we can't make changes to it anymore either.

Some folks don't have the time / patience / inclination to make huge starships. Fighters can look good, if you know your camera angles or are good with MC.

Remember, how a ship looks is completely and totally subjective, so there is no good or bad (unless it's a cube, THAT is bad).

For fighters, use micro blocks or something. Or if you feel adventurous give Techne a go.

Benefit of using Techne is that chances are it can make it into either the Flan pack or the *eventual* mod itself. Once you get those skills down, you can help proto with the former, too. ;)

I'd have to teach him how to make it, but fighters are pretty much foolproof, so long as it points the right way it's all good. Unless you want a turret, I still have no idea how that works.

Back to topic, I think bibliocraft allows you to cut blocks up into smaller blocks.
