I know that at this point, none of you care. But here's the Lusian Corvette Lineup.

Top to bottom: Basic Corvette, Scout Corvette, Patrol Corvette, Ion Corvette.

I think it's a giant ion cannon wrapped in a corvette.

The term "Ion Corvette" refers to the Ion Cannon which is that ship's main weapon/function. The Ion Cannon is an unusual energy weapon that directly attacks the target ship's shields. This weapon's main drawback (for smaller ships) is that it produces a massive amount of residual heat-energy. This is countered on smaller ships by adding large heat-sinks to either side of the side to prevent the weapon from burning out the crew. Larger ships actually converts this excess energy to power banks of smaller turrets!

Yea in homeworld a ship is basically a flying cannon besides Destroyer class and above .

I've been dabbling a bit with the Protector and I'm almost completely finished with her armor greebling. I'm very happy with how she's turning out. Also, Eihort is pretty frickin' awesome.
