1) Do you legitimately think he gives a shit?

2) Making special exceptions to the rules defeats the point of having them in the first place.

It just means that the rules are somewhat impractical, didn't we say we should abolish the point system ? People simply don't violate the points frequently enough for it to really work (thankfully)

We need to abolish the entire system and replace it with one that works.

Do you think that I don't know that, Tiel? Every time this comes up, I say that we need to fix it. We never do, so it keeps happening. There is a path to get out of this loop.

I actually agree with everyone here.

I'm on Jedi's side here; the current system and rules are *.

We need a few people - I'd go with Tiel, Jedi, maybe Iv and maybe cats, so we get a bit of all opinons - to sit down and come up with comprehensive rules and a system by which we enforce them.

Not many people will care about the rules no matter how well they function hypothetically. We're fifteen people at most and the majority of us can govern ourselves. As long as no one starts posting * or annoying the shit out of other people, there's no need. When there is a need, it can be handled on a case-to-case basis.

I must say I have to agree with cats on this. Until we get more members, which is unlikely to happen, we are few enough to be a direct democracy, and, as a community, decide what needs doing in different situations.

This, pretty much.

Guys, just get comfortable with the system we have now, and try to be grown up about bans and such. You do realize the one reason political systems fail is humans themselves, right? This is a decent system as is, and Jedi getting emotional(I mean that in the kindest way possible) about Hyperlite being retarded is no reason to change it.

tl;dr grow up

Thanks for your politics lesson, CMA.
Your opinion on systems in general has been noted and will be considered, and propably disregarded.
Have a nice day.
