I'll start using the log again when I make more progress. I'm not making progress right now. That thing I keep saying is almost done continues to not be done and its deadline keeps extending, which is why my estimates are bad. I'm beginning to expect we will be releasing something good-enough, and then going back to finish it afterwards, so the deadline might not even be the end of it.
