In a "road map"

What is the total progress made?

20%? More?

0.000001% I think.

Fr0st has apparently done a lot of stuff with the engine and rendering and stuff, but beyond that we have nothing.

It's not far enough in along that a roadmap can be clearly estimated. Way too much stuff is still theoretical and untested.

So basically its a "Dream that is not even close to come true" ?

Way too much work has been invested in this to still call it a dream. At this point, if it was my full time job, it would be progressing quite steadily.

And how will you feel if you completed the engine work and the modding part will never be completed ?

That would be pretty lame, naturally. I only signed on to do the engine, but that's clearly gone out the window. I'll keep going until we're satisfied or someone qualified can take my place.

you mean 'until I´m satisfied' because noone except you is capable of defining 'satisfactory results'.

Plenty of the people here can add basic items and stuff, and a few can do more complex stuff. We'll get it done.

Well as I said there is no need for now in anything beyond blocks , new materials, as simple as that - more texture than code work.

But apparently it's way more important to do the really advanced stuff first.

Not at all, you won't have blocks to build ships with you have no ship. Also building up from simple to complicated.

I said apparently, meaning it seems like that is what the developers think.

I guess we should make flyable spaceships as the first thing (after fr0st has finished his framework) and keep adding features and blcks/entities until we got what we want.
I´m not a buisenessman tough, nor am I a program development expert so my opinions might be totally useless here.
