Unwieldy but workable.
The biggest problem will finding 6 people to fully man the thing.

+1 has a dangerous look to it, seeing it in profile would help to get how it looks though.

Imagine a Hind with the intake from a F-107 and sci-fi bits tacked on. That's the gist so far, but the back end still needs work.
I would post you a pic, but French Internet is fairly awful.

Re: FC content pack flan's [UBERTHREADNAUGHT]
So today I discovered that Flan's mod has had the capability to import wavefront models since the start... Not sure how I feel about this:

Too round if you ask me, doesn't feel MC. Gunship needs its wings to lean backwards a bit IMO .

Yes. The main wings swept forward with the tail swept back looks a bit odd.Iv121 wrote:Too round if you ask me, doesn't feel MC. Gunship needs its wings to lean backwards a bit IMO .

Re: FC content pack flan's [UBERTHREADNAUGHT]
Ok, I'll fiddle around with the wing sweep.
In the meantime I'm going to see if I can get this wavefront thing working properly. I've already spoken to Flan about it and he's willing to make a few changes (pretty simple additions, stuff even I can do) to have this feature properly useable. If it works, it'll mean I'll be able to use an .obj model in a similar fashion to an .addBox element, meaning I can potentially cut down the size of model files by handling parts of the model as wavefront files, which should let me bypass the current part count.
It also means I could easily create a set of standard parts (seats, guns, missiles ect.) that can be easily attached to existing models, and load it as a single element rather than as multiple boxes arranged nicely.
It also means I can eliminate those strange looking dark faces that tend to appear on these (look under the Gunship's cockpit, textbook example) by exporting the neatly stacked boxes as .obj, then re-importing that wavefront file.
I mean only a select few modellers are going to be able to make use of this, but it opens up some interesting new options.

Tankspam round 2, this time on the Chimera chassis.
Chimera B:
Like the base Chimera, but mounting a longbarrel Railgun for anti armour operations.
Chimera
An urban operations/Police/SWAT/Riot control type thingy. Replaces the main gun with a compact lascannon. Mounts a mashy spike plate on the front to protect citizens better. Perfect for protecting your citizens from themselves.
Chimera D:
BMPT with future things bolted on. 'nuff said really.
Chimera E:
Swap the main gun for a GAU-36. Why not?

Don't tell anybody, but to this day I have a faint hope for Futurecraft, or something similar to it, to happen. Within my lifetime.
