here's some one I cooked up, there all kinetic rail gun type weapons, except the rocket launcher, that seem to be more plasma based

goes: top, assulte rife version 1, mg version 1, a type or (rocket) launcher
middle, assulte rife version 2, mg version 2, pistol
bottom, assulte rife version 3, mg version 3, sniper rife

I personally like version 2 the best

now the ones that look similar are 3 set of slight variants of the assulte rife and the mg version of that assulte rife

and the usable version

Now those are very good, they seem similar to the icons I made, but I like the sniper.

My only gripe, is they seem a bit generic, it's a good design but its been done so many times, however that can be easily fixed.
The pack already uses laser weapons, however I might expand it with these rail guns, and probably use that grenade launcher thingy.

But good work and thank you, I hadn't even thought of adding a bunch of railguns.

And that gunship of yours, I can't export it as turbomodelthingy, would you mind trying that on your machine, cause its a shame for that not to be used.

Good news everyone

Version 0.3 of the FC Flan pack is released

Whats new:
Tactical mass driver nerfed and made handheld (no more ugly deployed model)
Model and skin of the MGB-36 has been changed
added Rail Pistol plus ammo
added Rail Rifle plus ammo
added Rail sniper plus ammo
added Rail MG plus ammo

added a banana that shoots flying monkeys

i might have lied about the last one but here is the download link

oh ya the pistol image is really blurry

and it not a grenade launcher, more like a plasma launcher so it dosen't lobe


and I can't seem to export it into turbomodelthingy ether but I can export it into java


also a question what do I have to do to convert my already existing content pack from the last version to 1.4.6 cause ever time I place it in my flan folder my minecraft crashed

Depends if you have custom models, those now go in a different folder (look at other content packs, you will see what I mean)

And I've added your sniper, pistol and version 2 rifle and mg to the pack

Depends if you have custom models, those now go in a different folder (look at other content packs, you will see what I mean)

And I've added your sniper, pistol and version 2 rifle and mg to the pack

the only model I have in there is flans browning model and it's in that, co ,uk ,flansmods, client, model, folders

it works in fine when I place my content pack into the flan folder it will crash when I start up minecraft

I don't know what you are doing wrong, try reinstalling everything, that worked for me when nothing else did.

I like these textures. Don't forget the glowing blue power core. I can't look at the mod-pack until I get back from holidays (a week) but I'm sure it's wonderful.

Also, should we make hi-def textures? And how's the modeling going?

Don't bother with hi-def textures, nobody uses those on flans mod.

As for modelling, it's a total pain in the ass, but the models starting to vaguely look like a plane (I.e. c.ockpit, nose, half the tail, something resembling a wing)

And hyper do you mean b.lock or sphere, remember the forum autocorrects b.lock to sphere

fixed my content pack turns out I miss spelled a icons names

Well, I've finally got Flan's Mod working completely (I'd been getting some NullPointerExceptions, which I belatedly realized were because I hadn't installed the Simple Parts Pack), so I can begin being productive here. Maybe. Also depending on how much I want to play Halo at any given time. But it's more likely than before.

EDIT: I have begun work on a vehicle. It has nothing to do with Futurecraft, but I though I'd mention it anyway. I'll post pictures when I'm done.

If you are using techie, do not do any rotations, for some reason techne uses a weird point of rotation, which gets messed up when you make it into java, but I'd be glad to have a crack at putting it in, for my own modelling progress is going to be stopped until I finish my January exams.

But if you are making a vehicle, and want to make slanted surfaces, don't just rotate boxes in techne, try using manus's shape calculator, I found this out the hard way.

I don't know how to make models. I'm using one of Manus's. And without permission, so I won't be putting the vehicle up for download. I'm really just reskinning it.
