Is adding a leader-board an adequate way to inspire competition?

Necroing is fine if the discussion is productive. The reason it is normally frowned upon is that a dead thread typically means there is nothing meaningful left to add, and bumping with worthless posts like "I agree" months afterward polutes the board and makes it harder to follow active threads. We are a pretty small community here, so it's not a big deal, but best not to get into the habbit if it can be avoided.

Please leave the threads where they are, and instead just provide a link to them from this subforum, along with some small description of the subject discussed. Moving whole threads into the Notes section is going to make it harder to find things, not easier.

Think Wikipedia. Instead of trying to put everything in one place, you get pages linking to other pages so that you have a manageable amount of content to deal with. That is what we are looking for here. It doesn't need to be as fancy as a wiki page, but there needs to be some method to it if we are going to pull this off.

Maybe even an in-game leaderboard. A player would only have to type in a command to see the top ten players.
Throw the commies in the drink so my country can be free!
