I NOMINATE THIS IDEA

One idea, why don't we start from the very beginning with crafting tables and stuff. It's always annoyed me that Minecraft has no tutorial.

but maybe we can make a special
sinlgeplayer tutorial option in the main menu of where you can choose wich part you want to learn
from chopping wood
to building nuclear reactors

i do think thats one hell of a idea
and if some people make a redstoney adventure map for each
it wouldnt be to hard does that sound good

Why make a whole adventure map and stuff when you could just read it somewhere? I guess you guys have been over that, but I've always found a well-maintained wiki to be much more useful than any tutorial video/exercise/whatever. The Minecraft Wiki is good like that already. It has lots of information about everything in the game, and I don't think I've ever had a question about something that I couldn't find the answer to there. It already has lots of 'Surviving Your First Night' type stuff. We would be better-served by doing our best to ensure that the Futurecraft Wiki is kept up as well as theirs.

Video for when you are jumping in head-first, wiki for when you are comfortable with the mod.
That's always worked best for me. Though some of the youtube personalities have a tendency to drag things out.

We can have ALL of the tutorials! In-game with academies, single player starter tutorials, videos, wikis, etc.

I would be 101^3% willing to make tutorial videos.

but on this scale
would it be that a problem to do it
i mean some non modders can do alot for this
and you just have to make a nice little menu for it thats not to hard is it

well... ive been a commentator off and on for three years now and would be more than happy to make tutorial vids however, as discussed before: nobody will watch them. players should learn from experience. (see topic info)

it wouldnt be to hard to make them all is what i sayd

just have the city on the server

and have a extra option in the mainmenu
where diffrent subjects are put in
with a tutorial video
and a/some training map[s]

so people could choose what they want

this wouldnt be hard to make
and everyone could help building these things
