That's one I don't think I've heard yet. Might be interesting to do stuff with radiation. I don't think that's really been explored much in minecraft mods.

Nerva is called Nuclear Thermal Thruster in my OP.
Also updated, even the nonsense. (Why did you make me put in juice engines? WHY??!!)

Oh, then yes that is plausible. It is for breaking through the walls built on special relativity.

Like we were going to obey special relativity anyway

what about this
im going to include tiels idear core in it because that makes it easyer

i think i have an fairly simple engine /propulsion idea
Spoiler:
first we have 4 things
cores
mainframes
engines
generators

[tiel made mainframes and cores the same thing]

first cores
small ships would have cores
cores work the same like tiel explained
they will be ranked on ship catagory
with diffrences in options
and energy
but now there are only two [maybe more if you come up with very small vessels]
dropships
fighters
all systems would be integrated within this one block [exept actual cannons but these are also controlled by this block]
the diffrence with fighters and dropships is that a dropship has a propulsion that allows it to leave atmosphere
a fighter can fly in the area that its assigned to [so it can switch between space and atmosphere]

mainframe
the mainframe would also practicly be like a core but with a few diffrences
the mainframe is also made in catagorys
with the diffrence how many options it has
options are the number of systems that can be connected to the mainframe
such as life support shielding constructing things and of course how many cannons it can support

if a mainframe runs out of options you can do two things
1 just leave it as it is
2 do things the hard way
the mainframe connects all systems together allowing the captain to have a good over viewover all the systems also things that have to cooparate are handy to combine this way. but as long as you have strength [coming to that later] and energy [also] you dont have to stop putting systems in your ship
but these systems would be way less efficient and hard to check on diffrent systems cant be linked together if they are separate from the mainfram [such as guns that need heating that you can get from your way to hot engine]

engine
in a core it is included but in a mainframe it isnt the engine
its a multiple block thing with some that you need to fly your ship. it has a number of perks
1.diffrent types of fuel of you could use energy
2.combustion temprature [not included when using energy]
3.strength [each block would count for a certain mass the strength of a engine is measured in what mass it can propell]
4. the speed [if you dont understand this ...]
5. the efficency [how much fuel/energy it would use to achieve a certain speed with a certain mass]

high speed doesnt have to mean its strong

combustion temprature at what temprature would the engine be the most efficiënt too high temprature and the fuel would combust before reaching the engine
too and it requires large amounts of energy to propel yourselve
one engine can be connected with one mainframe
but you can have multiple engines on board for side thrusters or to power your weapons

generator
your ship uses energy thats the real life blood of your ship
a generator can charge in diffrent ways solar combustion ensoforth
energy will be directly used when its made
exept when you have an accu
one accu can be hooked up to one mainframe
multiple generators can be hooked up to one accu
one generator can be hooked up to one mainframe
if you have more then one accu you can use that to create an back-up energy course or to power one system at a time
you can hook one accu up to your shielding so nothing else would draww too much energy from your shields
please discuss
and nominate because then we will have another large pain in the ass of the table

I'm siging this, I know it's just a typo/translation error, but it's more hilarious than it should be.

He said exactly what he meant to. The forum autocorrected it to 'foot'. I dunno what "ass of the table" is supposed to mean, though.

Still hilarious out of context. Okay, sorry for derailment, let's get back on topic, shall we?
