Pretty much.

Except I have to teleport two entities and for some reason they don't stay riding the droppod and I can't get them to ride the droppod again.

Maybe use some of the code from the latest two snapshots that make minecarts and boats disappear as well if you log off riding them and have you ride them again when you re-login?

Yeah, that's basically what I'm doing. I guess I could try decompiling and seeing what's up, but I'm lazy.

Can you post some more pictures and some code from it? I want to see if Java is similar to VB and if I can understand whats going on in the code.

Try decompiling mine craft and looking at the code, you'll have to do this anyway though

They have a few concepts shared by all functional programming languages, but there is enough different that you wouldn't be able to jump straight into it. Syntactically, it is closest to the C/C++/C# family, particularly C#, whereas VB is in the BASIC family.
