For now, regular rails are just fine, like I said. But in the final product I would prefer that FC rail mounted objects used the 3D rails.

And no, we can't place minecart tracks on the ceiling. That would look ridiculous.

Man. I want an entity that just acts as a non-block bound stepping stone for parcour maps now. Anyhow. Right now working on my friend the GUI. Hurrah.

Should supply droppods drop a chest with items or should they drop all their items on the ground? The chest would make them not despawn, but it would feel kind of weird. I like the idea of it spilling the contents on the ground, but I don't know if that would work well because dropped items despawn in 5 minutes. Opinions?

Make a supply droppod act as a chest but not look like one?

I thought chests had to be stationary.

When the pod lands it's going to be destroyed. The question is, does it place a chest or does it drop the items.

It places a storage pod, which is a chest except future.

what about an bio pod
you can pui it in an shell doesnt matter what maybe an asteroid
and you can direct it at a planet then it crashes into the ground but remains mostly intact the pod not the shell
then you can get out and from that point its your spawn point

a completely new idea he's suggesting... but it's weird. Why would you have an asteroid as a spawn-point drop-pod??? Why?!?!?!?!

Cryo/cloning pods will work better, and make more sense.

think of the alien swarm drop pods
often hidden in meteors or ship wreckage
once on earth all aliens come crawling out of it
and having a rain of meteors falling on your planet would be damaging and terrifieng enough but then an undetected army crawls out

That is retardotastic. Asteroids are very prone to missing because of gravity. If you just hitch a ride on a random asteroid, odds are you'll either be crushed or stuck in a Lagrange point for all eternity then crushed.

but when adding the pod to a piece of rubbel you can steer it into the prefered direction
