i think we do want people to have te possibility to become rich from air
because it works and it gives them freedom
and the coin would be linked to a factions power
so that gives factions a good position

it where your words that people have to be free to do whatever they want

and common a pain in the but if you have 10 kinds of currency's and 12 planets you would only need to look wich faction holds wich planet
maybe it could be registerd with sensors

and about the sound i think we are talkin about that in another topic
and yes the idea was to have no sound exept the sound of mechanics in your suit

Doubtfully because Ill tell you this if my space sim sounds like a muted speaker I won't even bother downloading it from pirate bay...

And no you cannot allow people to do what they want. One clever guy will come one day and say "If we are making money out of air anyway can we just spawn in items so that to save that time we sit in front of the monitor and see our money goes magically up ? " He will have a perfectly valid point because what you made is called "Creative mode" . It's the same as duping EMC in technic, you better just spawn in whatever you want and save yourself the time - it's money out of air anyway.

Again you are not here for realism, you are here for fun and yes there is a need for limits.

this would add depth to it
and no it wouldnt be making money of air because you have to invest with the possibility to lose your money
and the amount of money is always evenly distributed there would be never more money

and in my stats and things armor idea you could add special sensor to your suit that allow you to hear things in space thru a gas that your suit emits
you wouldnt hear alot but you would hear some things

If you are clever, you only invest in things that have a chance of making profit above 50%, giving you a high chance of "creating money from air".
Also, this would, again, make the ammount of money in the galaxy reach the value of about a "Trollion" credits.
Again, market speculation is one of the most economy-destabilizing things IRL, we don´t need it in FC.

What a suprise! Another RPG vs. Survival world argument! Do I need to say what I'm going to say? Survivalist, enjoy freedom and believability even if its at the cost of an easy flowing storyline. Like currency, they would rather the possibility of controlling a market through currency, much the way it works in real-life. RPG-ists, prefer flowing story and lesss distractions from the main portion of gameplay or whatever their goal may be. They aren't afraid to use the phrase "we could just say". For currencies this means a single currency (over-ruling empire) would save time and complication.

You DO NOT control the market, THE MARKET controls YOU  , and it's not as black and white as you wrote, I am for some things from the first ad the latter, just I make sure they synergize well with the other futures and eventually turn into something fun to play.

RPG-ists?
If you are an RPG-ist, what are you doing in Minecraft?

Eve online. That is all.

Eve allows you to make money off thin air, if you are smart and know how.

Ironicallly I had you pinned as an RPG-ist. When people think of RPG their minds usually flick to something along the lines of WOW. That is not what RPG means. RPG can apply to almost all popular, modern games. Literally when you play the role of someone else. It has nothing to do with levelling up or classes, etc. these just accompany many RPGs so that any given player can mold the role they wish to play. Do you like having a set goal? Maybe you like deciding to be a certain way at the beginning of any game. Most likely, you would be extremely frustrated if someone raiding your in-game house and your first reaction would be to report it as opposed to fixing damage first. You like having an in-game theme as well.

If answered yes to three or more your an RPG-ists, if you answered yes to one or less you are a survivalist if you answered yes to two, I need a bigger questionnaire.

OK, so I´m an RPG-ist by what you mean, but what I am actually talking about is that there will be no "storyline" in Minecraft.
I was a bit confused with your post at first, because RPG-ists had nothing to do with what you said for me.
For me RPG-ist would mean "following a storyline provided by the game/ a gamemaster".
If RPG-ist means that to you, I guess this was all a big misunderstanding.
I stripped the term RPG-ist from the game genre of an "RPG".
RPG-ists would then be people who enjoy playing RPGs.
Trying to play Minecraft like an RPG would be futile, and that´s what I meant with my post.

sorry he is right
rpg is not a game where you follow a story line
because alot of the real story line based games are not rpgs

it is a role playing game
so minecraft is to start from a role playing game
you can customize the look of your character
and change him with weapons armor enchantments and potions

Minecraft is not a roleplaying game. If you think it is, you have no idea what 'roleplaying' means.

A roleplaying game is one in which you play a role.
Wikipedia wrote:A role-playing game (RPG and sometimes roleplaying game) is a game in which players assume the roles of characters in a fictional setting.
