I wonder if it would be possible to allow players to edit their music. Maybe allow them to rearrange the order in which the music plays or fill slots (like battle music or cave exploration). Perhaps go as far as a simple in-game music maker thingamabob. The music could have representations like a CD or something so player-made music can be traded. CD players and such would be used to organize it.

I like the idea and don't think it is a bad suggestion. Music is key to setting tone and is a major part of anything it is one of the main ways we as people communicate feelings.
Edit: didn't finish my thought.... And allowing people to change it to fit their own unique style is key to allowing player control, and allowing in game editing of songs is just a neat way to add something though it maybe a bit much for a space mod.

Well this would allow people to do just that.

APB reloaded had a similar system, and it was awesome.

Anyway flaming a flamer will result in the same results as general flaming so it's better if you just ignore people who insult you.

The idea is a good one, but not necessary for Futurecraft.

I think FC needs to be all that it can possibly be.

This is well beyond the scope of anything we are planning to do with Futurecraft. If you want custom BGM, just turn off Minecraft music and make a playlist.

Perhaps not for version 1.0, maybe in an update or something.

Maybe just something like a portable jukebox or something in the settings menu?

It should be relatively easy to code a system usable to get your mp3-files uploaded onto the server and played with some kind of device.

Maybe this is the sort of project that one of the novice coders that are sitting around could undertake. Being one of the novice coders that i just mentioned, would this be something I can do?

We need people to do useful stuff, not this. Start making blocks.
