I finally got a working VTOL shuttle going, and landed a bunch on lay the, but I suck at the landing part so they are stuck there.

I'll send a missile ship down to put them out of their misery

I tried the Realistic Progression LITE mod/pack. I'm still tweaking it to fit me. but until then, I'm working on assembling something to play around with.

Not sure if a pass along the save file multiplayer would work here, but d'you lot think it's worth a shot?

We'd have to agree on a set of mods, and a goal. but If we do it right, then yes. perhaps also have a list of user names to get it, in that order.

I agree with Ferram Aerospace, MechJeb and KW.
I think you should be capably of fitting your stuff into KW fairings, so PF would be kinda unneccessary.

I would suggest MechJeb, KW, LLL, PWings and PFairings, KAS, and (optio al for interest) PlanetFactory or Alternis Kerbol. Avoid the challenge mods, they just get old when all you do is shuttle life support excrement (literally) around. And screw Remotetech, screw it.

KSP is about building and flying and exploding, not being mundane and realistic/boring.

Remote Tech fails you as soon as you have other mods that add their own antennae.

Kethane sounds good, have very little experience so far, but form what I've heard, it seems to be most useful when used together with Interplanetary Launchpads

Stretchy Tanks just seems... weird.

Dynamic Warp... Could not find it on the KSP forums. At least not a .23-compatible version.

KAS sounds useful, can get in.

It says that Krags Planet Factory eats RAM. We may not be able to use it together with that many other mods.

Does TAC life support have parts that generate lifestock now? Because if no, it basically screws up any plans for manned interplanetary missions.

Dyn warp doesn't work. my bad. also, no generators for TAC. And kethane can be used to create fuel and electricity, IMO, easier than just lugging fuel and batteries to orbit.
