I played it at my friends. Great game, once you get past the fact that you will never be able to mass enough nukes to destroy the world. That's how I lost. I tried to make enough nukes and delivery mechanisms to bomb every city into oblivion simultaneously, but I couldn't.

Civ V ain't bad. I've played it a few times against the AI and some against my brother who is the only other person I know who has it. I'm not terrible at it though, so that's good.

I tried the tutorial once, but got sidetracked with other stuff in life and never played again. But I love playing Civ 4 on my laptop when I have no internet.

it has lyrics.

At least in CIV IV which essentially uses the same title song.

I am in a game as France right now. I have a problem with the game difficulty settings. I can only hold my own weight on level 4 difficulty, I was Japan and did not win the game, I was isolated on an island very difficult to invade (until nukes), kind of like in real life lol. But, in the Medieval era I sent samurais to invade Austria (not Korea as it would have been historically) and they failed miserably because of the landscape. I had a very large research base, with many jungle tiles and universities in my cities to make them yield 2 science a piece, but still I was slightly behind technologically (even with my high population). I also couldn't afford to field a large army, and had to sell off my navy (powerful when together). I constructed about 25 trading posts in all of my jungle land and more (university still yields 2 science for jungle tile even when trading post is there. Germany ended up winning the game with a scientific victory. Maybe I could easily achieve a cultural victory at this difficulty, but that would be boring.
I now turned off all ways of winning the game except domination, and I am on 3 difficulty instead of 4. This might make the AI more aggressive, but I am really not too sure. We will have to see how this game goes.

I have it, and the DLC (Which should have been in the game IN THE FIRST PLACE), Civ 4 too. I generally quickly rise to the top. And the General is stupid. He said in one game the Russians could wipe the floor with my army. I declared war on them, and my infantry guys mopped the floor with them. Military guy doesn't account for tech, only numbers.

IRL is usually the inverse.

Maybe for the empire. I don't see any star-destroyers in our orbit, and one of those is pretty much all you need for global domination.
