There are propably many people here that fall into the definition of nerd.
e.g. I´m pretty sure LJS is a Star Wars nerd.
"nerd" just means, well, interested in something that´s not the common interest of the crowd while not hiding it.
Technically, any brony is a nerd, and IRL, we´re propably all nerds, too.
Also, if you have a problem with nerds, I don´t really wanna know your opinion on people who have "Nerd syndrome" AKA Asperger´s Syndrome.

I play Star Trek Online. I haven't played in a month but might go on it again soon. Rank = 20-something. I have a science vessel (the mini one) a hospital ship and an Ambassador class.
