You bring supplies up somehow ... You can just leave one of those ships docked there and in case your station follows the tanker just save the crew in it, that or add a lot more parachutes to your station

Tankers take fuel to the refuel station over Ike. The refuel station itself is actually a robot controlled thing, though it does have habitation modules in case I lose a kerbal in flight to it. The tankers literally block about half of the ports when docked, so just leaving one there for any stretch would cripple the refuel platform. I suppose I could send up a flimsy spaceplane and have it have some extra habitation modules, but what's the point? The habitation modules in it can separate(I think, I haven't checked recently), and they have enough parachutes to survive. I think.

Yea unless you're on collision course with the Mun

I sincerely hope that doesn't happen. The station is over Ike, the moon of Duna. Having it be about to hit the Mun would mean something very serious had gone wrong, or I was very high.

Well then prob it was Ike you crashed into, they work the same way here no parachute is going to stop you there , but hey it is so much more fun when things are about to go wrong !

Parachutes work. Vaguely. Besides, it's more likely that they'd be pulled to Duna. Either way, losing the refuel station is unlikely; it's in a fairly stable orbit, and has-as expected- more than enough fuel to correct any errors.

I´m not worried about flying...
I´m worried about taking off from this position without breaking even more...

We all know what happened here ;) , the Russians overloaded the rocket trying to launch 3 satellites in one.

I think the russian rocket scientists need to play more KSP, it teaches you how to avoid THIS EXACT ERROR quite well.

Well, i think more struts would definetly fix the problem of the Russians.
Now, who goes over and tells them?
