Laythe has lower gravity, but it also has a thinner atmosphere.

lol, all I've done for getting out of kerbin is burn up and then over. I just built a 2-stage Mainsail/Skipper booster to get me into Munar orbit, then one skipper to get me into solar. Now the pain is trying to get the ship anywhere, it's just a command pod with 3 ion engines, a couple solar panels, a parachute, and about 8000 Xenon gas.

Alright, so I just assembled a monstrosity- refueling stop station in orbit (Manually, I feel so accomplished). Once I get an actually-usable SSTO design, I plan on using it as a stop-station before launching inter-planetary crafts.

My question is, how exactly do I get to other planets? Do you launch into Kerbol orbit and create a rendezvous from there, or are there launch windows I need to be aware of?

Here's a website that will help you with those launch windows:

http://ksp.olex.biz/

It will probably require a ton of x1000000 time warp.

Ejection angles are a pain in the ass. The refueling station should help you a lot though.

Why the hell did this go in the Sins thread?

Wait... the KSP thread is now the Sins thread and the Sins thread is now the KSP thread? The hell.

Well, anyways, I finally made it to Moho after several attempts but always getting there without enough fuel or thrust to decelerate and form an orbit around it. This time I got into orbit and onto the surface, but it was a really close call.
The nuclear engines ran out of fuel before my orbit was completed, so I ditched those and used the retro-burn stage Skipper to slow me down some more but even that didn't complete the orbit, so I had to move the parachute stage up a notch, activate the final landing engines to complete the orbit, then use them to land.
On the way down I realized Moho is tiny and has no atmosphere so parachutes won't do any good so I had to very VERY carefully manage what fuel I had left to land.
I ran out of fuel about 30m from the ground, moving at about 10m/s. The landing gear survived the impact and nothing broke.

No it is freaking Tiel playing with his mod powers, now Tiel ffs one more time and I'll have to take action. Not only this you will now fix the freakin mess you did in both threads.

Locked until he does this, better be soon ...

You know, all you had to do was switch the titles back. A lock really wasn't necessary.

Not me, YOU, they are waiting for you ... Also from what I see you moved the first post.

Oops. I was wrong actually. The whole OPs were switched, not just the game names. The 'five or six people' one should be in the SoaSE thread, and the 'so yeah' one should be in the KSP thread. I can't fix it myself because I can't edit posts anymore.

Have we angered Tiel? Is there something going on here that I don't know about?

The only thing I did was change the game names. If the OPs are really swapped, that's someone else's doing - check the moderator log.

@kobi no, just a prank gone awry.

A prank. Ah ha, yes, how funny. I am laughing. Are you really so dense that you thought this was a good idea after last time?
