It's not really landing, but most vehicles sort of balance out at about 95 meters below sea level. You better hope there aren't any kerbals on EVA.

I've been wondering about these pictures. Did you hyperedit that there? And it doesnt look like that thing has landing gear so you must have crash landed it. I think the B9 pack parts are way too strong XD

I absolutely suck at this game. I did get a lander on Minmus, but not anything past that. I was at a friend's today and we got a large base thing on the moon that looked like this here:

In fact, here. Mun Megarover 1 has landed.
Granted I built it to land on Minmus so the landing on the Mun was a little rougher than it should have been. Ran out of fuel at the last second, so I hit the ground just a little too hard and lost one of the retro burn engines ( useless anyways since it's out of fuel ) and one of the forwards docking ports ( useless anyways because it was only meant to transfer leftover fuel to other craft ).
I also broke all eight wheels. Luckily, kerbals can fix wheels.

Uh... I tried to drive the Megarover too fast and it actually took off from the ground and lost two wheels when it hit the ground again. I thought the Mun would have sufficient gravity to avoid this, dammit.

I could build and unltramegarover with the biggest size wheels and and more struts. I guess that could work.

anyone else think the new 0.21 Moon craters and the mountains around KSC look awesome? Especially the mountains. They have great canyons in them. I can build my mountain base!
perfect mountain base location: 9:08

Assuming the KSP community's suspicions are correct, 0.21 will be released very Soon™.

Cool, now I can really try getting an orbit using a moonrover with boosters
