It's a FPS that uses those brain-helmet things to control your powers. So you shoot people by throwing things with your mind or something. It sounds cool.

the next step toward full on virtual reality.

Thought the headset was BS at first, still kind of do. There are going to be functionality complaints if it doesn't work as it says it will. Remember that magazine that promised X-ray goggles that did nothing? I am sure somebody knows what I am talking about, everyone ordered some, and all the kids were disappointed.

i doubt we will be seeing this. they have 5 days to get 4600 more dollars pledged or it wont be funded. we will see how much money left to go when i wake up win the morning.

perhaps i was wrong theyve sliced the amount of money they need in half in the ast 15 hours.

they did it and a way ahead of their deadline

i dont think its like those glasses
in holland it isnt completely new they already do it in the therapy
hyperactive children do it.
esspecially if they have bad consenstration
but thats way simpler
jou just play games like copter where if you focus the plane goes up and when you relax the plane goes down
that enhances the overall focus in everyday life so this game would be very intresting

Does this have a practical application? Can I use my brain to nuke a city? How does this work?

here they have discovered that playing games is like a treat
for your mind
if you train your brain while giving it treats by playing the game
it would have mayor effects
then im not only talking about getting better at video games
no no no
im talking about increased sences
faster learning
making your brain cells connecting at a faster rate
so yhea the practical thing is
you actually enhance your whole body while playing a very cool game

All they can demonstrate concretely is that playing video games improves your ability to take their tests. That in itself is an inherently flawed method of showing the fact, and I doubt the original researchers drew that conclusion for this exact reason. It's only when the news organisations get involved that things become black and white.

It's the same deal as playing Brain Age or sudoku as a measurement of mental capacity. Playing those games will simply make you better at playing those games, and might not reflect anything outside of the game.

This is about an FPS that involved smashing trucks and large buildings into each other as kittens in mechsuits. It is not educational.

but in holland its not about the game
the game is fairly simple
but this game is based of that idea

and that idea is made to improve your focus
there is no diffrence between focussing on your pc or focussing on your math
okey so one is easyer than the other
but if one trains you to become way better focussed in the game
it would definitly have effect at your math
but i know that the maker of this particular game wasnt hoping to increase focus
he was just hoping to create a cool game that takes you into the game

but it does work it has to
