So it was done.
Munbase Kappa is being assembled; a SCIENCE, military, and civil facility on that little grey rock. The crew was assembled in the Astronaut Complex for the first time - after rather intensive training - to chat and sit through a briefing.
Jeb: "Nice to see you lot here. Nobody chickened out, at least."
Thompbles: "Hardly. I doubt even the SCIENCE geeks would do that."
Aldner: "Even if I revealed Jeb was flying the first base module?"
Thompbles: "..."
Markus: "Well, nobody ran, at least. Introductions, boss?"
Jeb: "Right. Here, we have Commander Aldner Kerman; he'll be your base commander and space traffic controller on the Mun."
Aldner: "Yo."
Jeb: "Captain Thompbles; your dropship pilot and mission coordinator."
Thompbles: "Hello."
Jeb: "CFO Nelemy; general-purpose pilot and control systems technician."
Nelemy: "Howdy."
Jeb: "Doctor Shadowcat; chief science officer and astrophysicsist."
Shadowcat: "Greetings."
Jeb: "SFO Markus, second-wave pilot and orbital station commander."
Mark: "Hey."
Jeb: And the rest... aren't here yet. Huh. Well, welcome aboard, you lot."
As coffees and tea is had, and the main hab is rolled towards the pad, chats happen.
Unfortunately, due to a darkroom accident costing six thousand kredits and two technician's sanity, no images of the launch, orbital insertion, or landing were recorvered. (Re: Forgot to screenshot).
However, after Jeb, Aldner, Thompbles, Shadowcat, and Kelly arrived, they snapped a picture:
Kelly: "Good to be here. 'Scuse, I have checks to run."
Shadowcat: "I would appreciate access to our navigational logs, Director. I woul dlike to refine and improve our flight path for the future."
Jeb: "Sure, Doc."
And so, the first night on the Mun began.
