I do, but it can get very slow when either the game has gone too long (about 1 - 2 hours) or one has person go afk.

I have the 4th edition but it's just too...well, not complicated, just not enough justification. So you can conquer the world by manipulating a bunch of numbers. Whoopdee do. Maybe I've just been spoiled by contemporary 4X games, but to me there's no kind of gratification from launching an attack, building a fleet, etc. It's all the SSDD type of thing with only the different starting nations giving it any replay value.
