With your expansion pattern, of course not.

I don't know if I talked about this before, but if you're struggling against hard or higher level AIs, this could be useful information.

Basically, a while back, I kept complaining how fighting Unfair AIs wasn't fun because they just spam endless waves of ships and it's an enormous grind.
Well, I found out the problem with that: I was fighting them on very small maps, the smallest of the 2 player pre-made maps.

What does that change? Well, AIs Hard and above receive a very large resource boost once you start attacking them. This resource boost allows them to spam ships and upgrades almost endlessly for a considerable period of time, which will result on them being able to build literally three times as many ships as you ever could.
On a small map, you get in combat with the AIs almost right away, meaning they get that resource boost almost right at the start of the game. You're not even done colonizing, let alone setting up defenses or getting your fleet built up and you're already being hit really hard.

On a larger map, however, you have a lot more time to prepare before engaging the AI. More planets to colonize, more money to set up defenses and build a fleet.
And thus, I steamrolled unfair AIs almost as easily as I do hard AIs.

Didn’t know that ... Well I am playing vs unfair AI right now, my early rush gave me an actual foothold in a choke point where I simply slaughtered him with static defenses (I mean SLAUGHTERED he was sending titans one after another at me with capitals and a buttload of ships), glad hes not as smart as humans when it comes to this.

Yup, when I played, I had secured my territory with only two fronts. My fleet was on one front and on the other I had a bunch of static defenses and a starbase. After our first engagement which consisted of me destroying his fleet, he sent a second massive fleet right into the starbase.

The game was won after that, he didn't have enough ships left to stop my fleet which I had been constantly upgrading and expanding.

Also I killed his titan with Corvettes :]

I'd be interested in seeing the replay of your game vs Unfair because I honestly though your tactic would just trigger him to overwhelm you entirely. If you've managed to hold him off, I want to see it in action.

I once beat an unfair AI by holding his fleet down at a giant starbase battle in a star gravity well and then using Kostura to jump my titan and fleet into his homeworld where I rekt.

I think I'll be too busy to play this coming weekend once again.

Funny how working 40 hours a week suddenly cuts down on all your free time.

Gonna try playing a game with a maximum buff / debuff fleet, see how that goes.
Gonna need Corvettes, a Rapture, a Discord, a Halcyon, some Destra Crusaders, possibly a Progenitor and Revelation as well.
Mix in light frigates and carriers for antimatter feed and firepower.

...I suppose if I want to get into a super debuff fleet 100%, I'd need to play Advent Loyalists and get the Coronata too...
