Anyone interested in SOASE this Sunday?
Doppelgangers sounds fun. so does systems of war.

Also, attacking my system in the late game becomes complete suicide even in a 3v1. So yeah. There's that.
Re: Anyone interested in SOASE this Sunday?
So the Radiance Battleship can go up to 80% shield mitigation and 22 armor.
How in the world do you kill this thing? It's tougher than a Titan.

Re: Anyone interested in SOASE this Sunday?
phase missile swarm from that planet destroyer cap ship from the vasari, a companied bybtons of the little missile frigates from the vasari, rinse lather, repeat.
Re: Anyone interested in SOASE this Sunday?
Did you miss the 22 armor part? Phase missiles will barely put a dent in it.
Plus, Cleansing Brilliance will murder those LRMs.

Re: Anyone interested in SOASE this Sunday?
then i'm lost. i might check out the advent to see that battleship up close.
Re: Anyone interested in SOASE this Sunday?
A carrier-class with a fuckton of bombers would do it
Re: Anyone interested in SOASE this Sunday?
Vasari carrier class gets only one wing of bombers.

Re: Anyone interested in SOASE this Sunday?
Vasari Carrier cruisers start with 2 wings, just like TEC ones, and I'm pretty sure the Carrier class capital ship also starts with at least two, if not three.Iv121 wrote:Vasari carrier class gets only one wing of bombers.
Vasari strike craft also have the highest health pools of any strike craft, making them harder to kill through anti-strike craft abilities like the Kol's Flak Burst, so even if they do start with one or even two squadrons less than say, the Advent carrier capital ship, those squadrons will last considerably longer.
Re: Anyone interested in SOASE this Sunday?
I just went in-game to make sure I wasn't talking out my ass, the vasari carrier-class capital ship does indeed start with three squadrons, each squadron comprising of three bombers or four fighters. At level ten, it will hold 7 squadrons.
The carrier cruisers also do indeed hold two squadrons.

Re: Anyone interested in SOASE this Sunday?
Ok , perhaps I was confusing the carrier with something.

Re: Anyone interested in SOASE this Sunday?
Ok so lessons learned. A level 10 fully upgraded Radiance-class battleship cannot tank a level 1 Ragnarov-class Titan.
Despite having almost twice the armor and 15% more shield mitigation, the Ragnarov simply does too much single-target damage, though it cam very close.
Probably woulda been closer if the Ragnarov was alone, too.

Re: Anyone interested in SOASE this Sunday?
Really? that's interesting. By the way how many health and shield points does the Radiance have?
E: Also I just re-watched the intro, what's 'The Warning' ?

At maximum level and with maximum upgrades, pacts and artifacts not included, the Radiance has:Solar112 wrote:Really? that's interesting. By the way how many health and shield points does the Radiance have?

Hulls: 4695
Shields: 5257
Antimatter: 567
Armor: 21 ( not 22 as I previously stated, I thought it would gain +1 by the time it hit level 10 but it did not happen )
Shield mitigation: 19% passive ( 25% in culture ) and 72% maximum ( 78% in culture ) (I could have sworn I could make it go over 80, I must be forgetting something...)
Beam damage: 46
Plasma: 31
Laser: 68
Both beams and plasma are forward-facing weapons, while lasers are split evenly on the sides.
As for the warning, the Vasari used to have a massive galactic empire way back when but *something* unknown has been destroying(?) it and so the vasari are fleeing from whatever the something is and have been doing so for the past 10 000 years, and it's following them. The warning is that, something horrible is coming, and everyone should leave now.
So the Vasari loyalists are trying to grab as much resources as possible to run away while the Vasari rebels are trying to warn the other races and get them to cooperate so they can all flee instead of wasting resources fighting each other.

My Titan's mitigation just went to 81%, so I don't know...Pat22 wrote:(I could have sworn I could make it go over 80, I must be forgetting something...)Solar112 wrote:Really? that's interesting. By the way how many health and shield points does the Radiance have?
