Sure, though it's not mandatory, it'll just help to know how many people are playing.prototype wrote:same teamspeak or?

Defeated already, at least the battle was a bit more interesting than last time's throw a titan at it and hope for the best.

And finally, after a last ditch effort rushing his entire fleet to my homeworld to try and take it out, Vanilla's homeworld, Emprah, falls.

Best I've done in a multiplayer match thus far.

Honestly if Iv hadn't mentionned the possibility of rushing my homeworld, I wouldn't have put up all those defenses around it. He ruined your chance.Admiral Vinyl wrote:Best I've done in a multiplayer match thus far.

Well my main problem now is that with all being best economy in the game and stuff I still feel toothless no matter what fleet I face and when, not only yours but proto's too, by the time I got my dread there he already had 3 of em and a fleet 1.5 my size, if not for that planet I put up his butt it would have been a much uglier game. Anything I should do on this front or is it the temporary result of those rushes I do ?

And yeah, you're colonizing a lot of planets rapidly and it's costing you a lot to upgrade them and get resource extractors up and getting the research to get the different planet types. You're also distancing yourself from your capital world and so you need to build advanced shipyards to be able to reinforce your fleet in less than half an hour.
Proto, though he only had a planet and two asteroids, had much less to pay for and so he could pour all his money into ships.
I suppose getting used to the idea that building more ships is almost never a bad idea might be helpful. I mean, it's not that hard, especially if you've got a good economy. When Vinyl launched his first attack on me, I had the worst fleet in the system, which was one capital ship and one disciple vessel. I diverted all funds to building ships and, thanks to my one shipyard world, I went from fifth and worst fleet to second strongest fleet in minutes and sent it towards Vinyl before he had done any damage worth noting.
He also fell back before my ships could reach him though, smart move.

Re: Anyone interested in SOASE this Sunday?
There's a lot more cost involved in expansion than in CoH.
Re: Anyone interested in SOASE this Sunday?
Roughly, every asteroid or dwarf planet you colonize is two light frigates less. Every resource extractor is one light frigate less. Every planet is four to five light frigates less.Chairman_Tiel wrote:There's a lot more cost involved in expansion than in CoH.
Add the colonization upgrades on top of that as well as resources lost to planet underdevelopment.
