The only real reason I called for saturday was because I work that day and couldn't come.

If you guys want to do it then, though, by all means. Last match I was effectively doing nothing but holding my * 90% of the time anyway. xD

So just finished installing SoaSE and played the tutorials. Seems to run fairly well by itself with a few ships so I might be able to get on on the weekend.

I was messing around with a triple Discord battleship trio and a large fleet of corvettes, disciple vessels and illuminators because I'm trying to test the worth of the Discord versus the Radiance as a battleship. So I was having fun wiping out the AI's fleet with triple AoE attacks that decimate light frigates, flak frigates, corvettes and even LRFs but then I came across an ice field.

Ice fields are evil.

50% of damage is propagated to all ships in the field. So as I hit my AoEs to decimate the enemy fleet, I decimated my own fleet. Corvettes and Disciple vessels disappeared in an instant. Illuminators, even fully upgraded in hull, shield and armor, soon joined them from weapons fire propagation.

Moral of the story, don't ever bring a fleet to fight in an ice field.

Defensively? Hmm it does sounds interesting.

Although in this case, the inferior party didn't get a chance to profit of me wiping out my own fleet, I had three shipyard worlds and tons of bank stored up so my fleet was rebuilt pretty damn fast.

Oh god, Titans like the Coronata or Ragnarov would be so goddamn powerful in an ice field.

Snipe and Unity Mass suddenly become AoEs.

At max level, with overcharge, snipe will hit its target for 6000 and every surrounding target for 3000.

Unity Mass will hit for 5500 and every surrounding target for 2750.

Don't tell anybody, but to this day I have a faint hope for Futurecraft, or something similar to it, to happen. Within my lifetime.
