I am a fool.

I am a fool for activating marathon. And I am a fool for activating ability roulette.
Those were four hours of my life I am not going to get back. -.-

Don't tell anybody, but to this day I have a faint hope for Futurecraft, or something similar to it, to happen. Within my lifetime.

Training Roulette is awesome and funny. Damage Roulette, well, would be more accurately called Your Weapons Are Shit Mate.

Also, Aiming Angles is the best SW option EVER. fuck your flanking rules, we do it REALISTIC around here.

Also red fog.

Before I start a new game, tell me:

Does red fog affect just me or enemies too?

Oh, this is excellent. I wanted to turn it on earlier, but I didn't know if it was one-sided or not.

Aiming angles and Red Fog are both mixed, but really good. Red fog means (especially in long war) you can wound enemies and, for the most part, not worry about them shooting your face. Aiming angles makes it easier to kill other aliens, YET limits your already-meager cover options.

Eh, I play with Aiming Angles and Absolutely Critical. I like them; it means instead of a flat 25% to hit on some alien guy, you can move a little and get a much better shot. Taking into account their shot at you isn't too challenging; and besides, if all else fails, smoke grenades. ALL the smoke grenades.

The one single thing about Red Fog that absolutely grinds my kneecaps' gears is those squid thingies; two of them go stealthy, meanwhile sectoids or lizard-peepz show up and keep my guys busy, my sniper and heavy get strangled for just one round, but are totally useless afterwards because NOT EVEN AN ASSAULT TROOPER HITS A WOUNDED SECTOID WITH HIS SHOTGUN WHEN STAYING ON THE NEIGHBORING TILE, AND A MUTON WOULDN'T BE A MUCH EASIER TARGET EITHER.

Sometimes I'm surprised my guys don't hold their weapons with the wrong end forward. -.-

Also, seriously, fuck thin men on classic. Fuck them. Fuck them hard. They be cheatin'. Using aimbot, evidently.

Okay, while playing XCOM now the old chinese kung fu master inside my head sagely said "You're not ready for this yet." (kek dat rhymes a li'l) So yeah, I'm going to play on normal for a while, see what's even changed in EW and so on. After that, I might have a chance at classic. But at this time, no can do, amigo.
