Oh, I just remembered:
So apparently I let one UFO slide. A scout. Guess what my rating at the end of the month was? An F. A bloody F. ಠ_ಠ³

Don't tell anybody, but to this day I have a faint hope for Futurecraft, or something similar to it, to happen. Within my lifetime.

...wat.

If you're on Normal, letting one UFO get past you should only result in a C at minimum. WTF.

Well with al due the respect I have no freaking means to shoot em down plus they multiply like flies, those 9 UFOs count for around one vanilla prob.

Well dont be too agitated, Long War is hard as balls, just as I said instead of 1 UFO once in a while you get like 100 and they are tough as nuts to crack, I got cyberdisks at 2.5 months.

Started new vanilla game on Classic.

I am surprised; first mission, only one injury and nobody died (Aiming Angles may have saved me a bit, I love that option).

The Mk. II version of the Automated Grunt Picking Machine For Near-Guarunteed Death (AGPMFNGD) is now running; put your names in to be keeled- uh, to save Terra.

EDIT: Second mission nets no deaths, one injury, and a pile of ded sectoids.

Also, I have a soldier with 80 Aim who will not hit unless it's a <65% to hit.

wat

EDIT2: Ah, balls. Code Black on the first UFO; Everyone in good cover, one guy down, we're okay.

Sectoid keels my sniper (asshole), Outsider pwns by grenade rookie (fuq), last sectoid kills my Generic Rookie (TM), Code Black'ing the mission. *.

Well... lost 3 guys to a pack of Floaters and Sectoids, then the last guy - an Assault - went on a rampage until Seekers arrived. He had to GTFO.

But hey, he aabsolutely rekt 3 Floaters singlehandedly.

EDIT OF EDITS: Holy shite. Terror mission, and the easiest one ever. 1 civvie ded. No injuries or deaths. 2 Chryssalids and 6 Floaters epically pwned.

Huh.

Month 4 or 5. Researched everything available before the attack on the first base, got my guys clad in best gear currently available, and currently I'm building the psi-lab and the other thing that comes after. Got ghost armor on three of my guysens. Only thing I should really hurry up with would be putting some firewhatevers with upgrades on the different continents, that very large ship that just now appeared really was way out of my current things' league.

Yeah, the Overseer UFO/battleship will two-shot a Raven (default) intercept8r, even if said Raven has an EMP cannon.

Firestorms can Tank Like Hell, though, so give a Firesterm an EMP cannon and you can rek shit.
