Depends on how early you go up to the greybeards. I rarely have fireballs in non-scroll form at level 11, but I'm not going to speak for anyone else.
I was like 30 when I went to them...

I'm only level 6, so I don't have crap. I killed it with Flames, Sparks, a steel warhammer, and strategic use of Potions of Minor Health and Magic. Sven helped, too.

I'm like 40-45 and have not even done the first thing Balgruuf told me to do...

Hehe, on my last run so far I went up there after I finished all the DLCs and Side missions, 79. #trollingthefrosttroll

Don't tell anybody, but to this day I have a faint hope for Futurecraft, or something similar to it, to happen. Within my lifetime.

...the scary bearded man living in the broken-down house all alone across the river gave me human flesh as a reward. And I ate it. This is a weird game.

Not particularly, I'm fairly sure cannibalism would be a viable way to get food during the time frame, and location this game is set on, but you'd have to probably ask dayn.

I would have kept the flesh for Alchemy ... or necromancy.

It was the first flesh I've encountered. Eating it shows me its first alchemy effect.

I don't think the vikings were cannibals, no. Can't say for sure though.

It's not cannibalism, anyway. I'm an Argonian.

Either way don't eat an ingredient you got only 1 of, its pointless as you won't be able to use it anyway, plus keep it for higher alchemy level and you will reveal 4 of the ingredient effects while possibly keeping enough of it for a rare potion or something.

I don't think so, although the celtic(and Germanic?) pagans were.

Today I killed my first dragon (not counting the plot-related one you fight with all the guards), and also heard "I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee" for the first time.

EDIT, after more play: Started committing serious crimes today. I need to work on my pickpocketing skills, but the system generally seems really forgiving. Being found picking a lock on the cell door in the Jarl's dungeon results in a fine of only 5 gold. Being found picking the pockets of the Jarl's steward while she's sleeping results in a fine of only 25 gold. Being found in the Jarl's bedroom with an axe (that I stole from the captain of the guard) in the middle of the night doesn't even result in a fine--she just shouts at me until I leave.

You get caught for your crimes? Bro do you even quicksave?
Really, how do they assume people will get caught for crime when you can just quicksave and not be caught?

Man you get to the point you do soo much stuff that when suddenly a guard jumps on you a week later with 8,000 gold on your head (that would be a few murders, nothing major that Im really supposed to remember ...) you're just "Yeah whateves" and pay it.

Also did you know that some time ago you could place a bucket on the head of a shop keeper and rob him clean of all stuff ? I think they patched it now but this resulted in pretty hilarious videos on youtube later on. BTW those bugs are one some of the funnier things in Skyrim.
