Yeah, they probably weren't even poking their guns out. They don't have to, IIRC.

Also, they weren't sneaking into the facility. They controlled Point C, which isn't on the main mesa area, and which gives them access to that spawn room. If you go over to the side of the mesa you can snipe down onto C really easily. I love Vanu Archives almost as much as TI Alloys.

I wish I'd known that earlier. I saw them scaling the terrain and slipping through fences to that spawnpoint and assumed that was the method in which they were locking it down.

It's very difficult to hold back the onslaught of NC coming in from the outlying commtower jump-pad as well as worrying about them suddenly spawning in behind you.

You've got to have loads of medics. If you fill the entire room around point A with guys, and half of them are medics and a quarter are MAXes, you can hold that area and have a really awesome time. I haven't fought nearly as much over by Point B because that usually isn't where the main attack comes from, but it's something similar. It's a really great place to be a Medic, and Infiltrators with higher-level guns can snipe pretty well from the walkway around the edge of the mesa. Pretty much the only way to deal with them having Point C is to fill the room down on the first floor of the building B is in with guys. You can cover both the doors of the spawn room from there without getting shot yourself if you've got enough guys. Also, there is a way down towards C other than the jump pads, if you start over near the defender spawn room and spiral down. You can use that to get where they're not expecting, because I don't think anyone but maybe a LA could get back up that way.

It was awesome taking the Bio Lab, there were tons of medics and maxes healing and pushing forward. These battles don't happen on Xbox....

April 5: Hyperlite, Tiel, and I played together today. Tiel and I took about the most awesome Flash drive ever before hyperlite showed up. The speedometer said we broke 120 kph going down the cliff. It was great. And we survived, which was even better. Other than that, lots of sniping and healing today. I got three Service Ribbons for my sniper rifle, and another for reviving people. I also got Silver medals for my sniper rifle and my Medic's gun, and copper medals for both my MAX's weapons.I had two separate lives in which I sniped five people, which is cool. Not my record, but very close. Overall I had a .75 k/d for the night, which I'm quite satisfied with. I reached BR 17 and I have more than 700 of the thousand certs I need for my SMG.

I also unlocked a cheap DMR that can be used by all classes, along with the 2x Reflex Scope. I went on Amerish today and had some ohmygod moments like charging a MAX with it and then running behind a corner like a little girl before planting a rocket in his face when he pursued. It's a nice gun. Most people just stand there dumbfounded when you start shooting a rifle at them at point blank range xD

Last weekend I didn't have a computer that could run PS2, so it was inconsequential at the time. I dunno if SC gift cards stack with that, either :S
