I don't care as much about XP as about fun in playing.
I'm not one of those "pro gamers" who try to farm XP and hunt all the achievements.
For me, PS2 is a game, and as such I want to have fun.
And I have found that I have the most fun snipering tanks.

Re: How...?
AFAIK it's XP that gets you the points to upgrade your stuff, though. So you can be actually efficient at snipering tanks.

Re: How...?
Yeah. That attitude is fine, of course, but it's not going to get you the equipment you need to have more fun (1000 certs for an SMG, 1000 more for a pump-action shotgun if that's your thing, nanoweave/ammo belt/flak armor, medkits, properly built vehicles, a sidearm that doesn't suck if you're VS, a lock-on rocket launcher, MAX anti-infantry weapons, maybe a scout/battle rifle, etc). Sniping, my tactic of choice, is a fairly low XP per minute activity compared to, say, tank farming, and I've never had any problem with my rate of cert gain, but if you're really spending most of your time taking potshots at tanks you're gonna be doing that for a long, long time before you get anywhere.
