[flash=][/flash]?
I don't play with the forum BBCode enough to know if that is the right thing.

I've figured out the problem; you're all using heathen, satanic Chrome, Firefox, and other browsers instead of great and holy Internet Explorer.

That shouldn't make a difference, as the formatting of BBcode into html youtube embedding happens on a php-basis, making it litterally impossible for the browser having anything to do with it.
Even if IE was better, you argument would still be invalid.

Maybe IE is just so perfect and holy that it fixes BBCode, even if it's not broken, while other heretic browsers merely break the code

I'm willing to bet that IE doesn't connect to YouTube via SSL/TLS, and therefore copy-pasting from the URL bar gives you an address with "http://..." rather than "https://...". Of course, you'd probably have to be using IE4 or so for that to happen, but still.

I just tested it. The https doesn't work because the message board doesn't consider that a valid URL. That should be browser independent.
Once the url is validated, the forum converts it into an <embed> tag, which has been unofficially supported by most browsers for a long time, but only became an official part of the specification in HTML5. When I tried a video on IE 10.0, it wasn't able to parse the <embed> tag properly. Presumably it should parse correctly in IE 11, but I really hate IE so I am not even going to try.
Moral of the story, I don't want to fix the php code, so just use http://. Contrary to popular belief, you don't need to encrypt all the things.

Any and all caught using Internet Explorer shall be fired into the sun, wrapped in bardbed wire. If you argue, we might be kind enough to stab you first. Arguments?

How much delta-V is required to hit Sol? Roughly, I mean.

Not that much. We're in its gravity well already, of course, so IIRC you really just need escape velocity in the right direction.
