The title is fairly self explanatory. If you've ever had to clean up a topic, you'll find it is extremely slow and annoying, because you have to select each post individually, confirm deletion, the delete it. I think there should be an option to select multiple post at once for deletion (or multiple topics, for that matter), like the menu when you need to merge/split topics.

Re: Multi-Select Post-Deletion
Is there anyway to undo deletes on this forum, or are they gone for good?
Re: Multi-Select Post-Deletion
A hidden subforum called "recycle bin" can be created and posts you want to "delete" you can simply move there. later on you can delete permanently what's in there if you want but technically what is there is deleted. It is better than real delete because it allows to undo deletes.

I really, really hope you meant 'inconvenient'.Dr. Mackeroth wrote:If convenient, please implement. If incontinent, implement anyway.
And yes, deleted posts are just gone. That's why we have an 'Evidence for bans' thread.

Re: Multi-Select Post-Deletion
I actually think that the recycle bin idea is quite good, then it gives judges more things to judge, and will mean they are actually more useful. Not a bad idea, although is something is truly nasty, then it could be deleted instantly.

No, instead of clicking on the little [x] button, go to the upper right of the page and click 'moderator control panel'. You should then be looking at the thread and all of the posts have checkboxes.
Re: Multi-Select Post-Deletion
So adding recycle bin or you gonna start to argue with me on that one too ?

Re: Multi-Select Post-Deletion
The best way to go about it would be to make a thread in 52 and merge all 'offtopic' posts there.
Re: Multi-Select Post-Deletion
It's not only about off-topic (and mostly not about). In general you want posts that you "delete" to get away from your sight. Also storing it in a subfirum makes it more ordered so it is easier to browse, find and use what you need in it (Especially if a good labelling system will be added)

Now you're asking something that would require the ACP to do correctly.Iv121 wrote:It's not only about off-topic (and mostly not about). Talk to Shiva about that.
