The title of this thread hit the character limit. I'm talking about the little pictures that can be added to the icon that you see next to a thread. There's a diamond, and a torch, and a porkchop, and a block of gold, and a bunch of others. I don't like those. They break the flow of the page, and even with only about three threads with them in the Vessel Architecture area it's bugging me. I want them blasted into tiny pieces and then burned! Or possibly just removed. I think once I've got mod powers again I can probably remove them from thread titles. After all, using power to force others to stop doing something that annoys only you is the entire point of moderatorship.

I have edited these out of the OPs of every thread that had them. Was that a blatant abuse of moderator power? Probably. Do I feel better now? Heck yes. And that's what's important.

D'aww I liked having my topic seem like its on a burning course to the destruction of the universe

Here's an idea, why not have those little emoticon things as some sort of colour code for what each thread contains, I have no idea how this actually helps, but I can't think of any ther way to give such a pointless thing a point, maybe have the fire thing for topics that contain a flame war, to tell other users not to bothers or something like that

What wrong with them? Sure they're kitch, but compared to the old forum, it's still pretty good.

Ya, but what happens when someone abuses them to get more view/posts or something?

How can you abuse ONE symbol on the top left of the thread title?

I agree with shadow, it's just one little symbol, it won't decide the fate of your post. If anything, it's just a little decoration to add spice to the otherwise monotonous list of topic symbols.

Honestly I think they make you look a little stupid unless whats in the thread is like mega important or something of that level.
