Not so much preventing spam as encouraging participation in the subforums that this board should be focused around, at least, that was what I thought when I made that design choice. Shoot Shiva a PM if you're concerned about it, but can't really be considered a bug.

You can't host images directly from the posting screen. I don't know if that's really a bug or just not a feature, but it's very annoying.

That's a forumotion-exclusive thing. The way it works is they own an image hosting company, http://servimg.com and simply have the requirement to register turned off for hosted forums.

I will look for alternatives that Shiva can implement.

Okay, so far:

An image upload feature on the post page would be welcomed by a ton of people.

I want to mention avatars, but you'll likely only be doing that once or twice and a resize is not that difficult to execute unless you want to go and change it every other week.

Also, the pages here are smaller. Here they're ten posts, on the old forum they were fifteen posts, and on the Minecraft forums they're twenty posts.

I am also noticing that the time taken to load a page (tried on multiple devices now) is around 50 times that of the old forum, I cannot say if this is entirely to do with the site but it could be a problem with something

Also it there is nothing saying who posted in each topic/thread last, which would be useful

There is a bar to the right indicating whom posted in a thread last. The same goes for the forum's main page.

As far as missing features are concerned such as youtube and ULing images, those will come with due time, likely within the day if Shiva accepts my request. Those have been a major issue for a lot of people used to the conveniences of the old forums and thusly must be implemented as quickly as possible.

Loading times have also been a problem, one of the primary reasons this forum was acquitted so long ago. Since then it has switched webhosts and is on a fresh database. The reason, so far as I can tell, is that there is a lot of images that must be downloaded by the browser on the initial visit of the site. It will decrease with time.

Yeah, loading time is flunctuating depending on the hosting server's load, it'd seem.

It was taking close to a minute to load a while back, now it's almost instantaneous for me.

Hmmm, just been told several times that the server is overloaded, is this anything on our end? or is it the hosts problem?
