The FutureCraft Wiki

There seems to be an explosion of RP lore and information occurring, and I think the FC wiki would be a good way to organize history, technology, ships, etc. Of course, it would have to be purged of current material, and not everyone would be able to write. To prevent clutter, only the GMs and wiki mods should have authorial/editorial access.

Another wiki ? Not a good idea, will end up trashing the internet like the last one, and considering the only thing that was in it was RP stuff you already have an RP wiki.

It isn't a new one. It is the old RP one. Basically, think of it like emptying out all the old air through the airlock, then filling it in with the fresh, newly written air that is then pumped into the room by GMs.

Trashing the internet? I dunno Iv, referring to others' lore like that is kinda offensive. And let's be honest, the inverse was true 9/10 times anyway; as I recall it was quite the grief fest.

Mediawiki is a much more efficient way to store. modify and access information than the conventional thread format we have here. I'd be in favor of setting one up at wiki.fc-mod.com

I didnt refer to the lore, I refer to the fact that that space physically wasn't used. If you pump that space with new air it won't make this space more lively , the same fate awaits this wiki, too.

It wasn't used because people either didn't know about it or didn't care enough to capitalize on the opportunity. That's changed with the RP stuff, which not only guarantees at least three active users/content creators in the form of the GMs but also adds a layer of cohesiveness to the entire thing that wasn't present before. At least in my opinion.

I say it's good.
We should do it.

My point is that its nice you store info there, but its not enough to store it, there should be reason for ppl to look for it there.

Iv, there has been a recent RP-splosion, so storing the data there would likely free up space here, and allow for easier access.

Plus, we don't need to use all available space. I support this.

It doesn't need to be the size of Halopedia, but *, we have a wiki and with a standard format for everything now, making use of it would be the most sensible thing to do.

Can you please stop offering your malformed * to the entire forum, we don't want it.

WIkipedia says that doesn't make sense.
It says sword is an euphemism for *.
