Lol, I don't think we could ever raise the sort of money a professional developer would even bat an eye at. The sort of guys who do indie games as a job are for the most part either
A) insane.
B) working part-time or contracting gigs, or this is their side business.
C) are already successful enough they can afford for it to fail.

Or I guess there is also
D) They got a ridiculous amount of donations through Kickstarter or found a sugar daddy to foot the bill.

And no, we're not doing a Kickstarter. Those people have a legal obligation not to be flakey.
