Awww man, I liked Shiva....Even though I had almost no interaction with her (I spend most of my time in this forum over on the shipbuilding subsection, shocker), I always got the impression that she liked good ol'fashioned science fiction. That's something we should all be able to agree on...

Not interested. The damage was trivial to reverse, and Shiva knows she was in the wrong even if she doesn't want to admit it. That's not a good enough reason to hamstring our capacity to maintain this forum.

No. That's Laserbeam, the person who banned Shiva from Industrial War.

I don't know about this afternoon, but the forum was down last night because Shiva threatened to do something to it and Tiel locked it down. That alone should make everyone here think long and hard about whether they really think Shiva is the right person to have in power. She made what she thought of the forum quite clear; namely that it's her own personal playground and no-one has the right to criticize her decisions, even when they're obviously wrong. I especially liked the "I AM JUSTICE" line, and the ones about the rules not applying to her. I think those sum it up pretty well. This was why we suggested completely separating the technical work of maintaining the forum from super-moderatordom and control of the judicial aspects of the forum. There's no good reason for those to go together, and when they do you end up with this kind of situation.
