What will you do in FC?

I'll be the equivalent of the Flying Dutchman in the space age.

You warp to another system on a routine mining run. Nothing special. Your AI crew is doing fine. And you expect to make tons of money, in your small frigate.

But when the warp complete, you find yourself in a Nebula. No star charts list it here. Mad that the charts didn't show it, you prepare to head off when one of your crew reports something moving. A dark silhouette, barely passing by. It's not on sensors. No attempts to hail it work. And just as soon as it appeared, it disappeared. You set course to follow it's supposed heading.

But as you go deeper, the Nebula becomes more hostile. You consider turning back when an Ionic bolt strikes and disables your ship. You're left stranded while the generator recovers.

And then the ship reappears. As it moves closer, it seems to not be a ship. It looks like... a wooden pirate ship, and as it approaches, you black out.

When you wake up, the Nebula is gone. And so is your ship. You're floating in an escape pod, with all of your cargo, in deep space. Your AI crew is gone. You stumble to the control bay and notice a log on the communicator. It consists of static, random tones, and maniacal laughter. Your ship is gone, so you set course to the nearest planet.

Sometime later, near the edge of a system, you discover a signal. You have a new ship, and you're instantly curious. You fly over to discover your old ship, badly damaged, cartwheeling into space. You are about to tow it back when you black out again.

When you wake, the ship is gone, but you're still on your ship. The AI crew is gone. On the communicator is another transmission, exactly like the first. You shake your head and leave.

Sometime later, your old ship reappears in dry-dock. Operators say it just appeared there. Onboard is a note. It says, "Thanks, friend."

The problem is (just about) everyone wants to rule. Perhaps we should have a few large moderator-controlled factions so that empires have more than 2 people in them (not to mention that it would bring order into what would otherwise be a total anarchical game).

If that is the case then my goal will probably to become a military-based branch of the ruling empire, probably more like a police force than anything else.
If not, then I'll probably work towards a militarized merchant empire.

You should join me and my group. I have a server (under construction) that will house our world, as well as a several members already. Our goal is to create peace at the point of a sword.

Actually, that's a plan, if someone leaves their ship in orbit, I could do that, or put a sign above it saying something like "the idiot mobile \/"
